The Architectural practice of Hogben & Hale was established in February 2001. The two partners bring to the practice experience across all aspects of housing design. Both partners have the practical experience of taking projects through design and construction to completion.
Mary Hogben has worked in the housing field for both public and private clients, on projects ranging in value from £20,000 to several million pounds including working with residents on the regeneration of their estates, refurbishment and new homes.
Peter Hale has similarly worked in the housing field and also has several years of hostel and commercial design. He currently is combining Architecture with ceramic design.
Projects include: Bow Conservation Area, London. This small Victorian terraced house has been remodelled and extended to provide a bespoke house for the Artist client. We have worked very closely with the client to realise their unique requirements for organising the spaces and to allow in light, air and a connection with the mature garden. Burgundy oak flooring throughout unifies the house giving a warm contrast with the white spaces created to maximise walls for paintings. Purpose made furniture has been designed for all rooms. A new garden room looks back to the house which has been designed for year round use with a shower room.
Conservation area, Maida Vale, London. Complete house refurbishment to give new conservatory and kitchen, and new bathrooms.
Finchley, London. Major refurbishment and extension to a bungalow for a private client.
Street of houses in Conservation Area Acton. The phased rehabilitation of 2 storey properties, for a Housing Association, providing a mix of family houses and two person flats. One house designed to be fully accessible and the majority of homes achieving Lifetime home standards.
Hogben & Hale is a member of the Green Register of Construction Professionals and is an RIBA Chartered Practice.
