Design that meets clients requirements

Dawson Horrell Architects was founded in 1996 by Susan Dawson and Nigel Horrell after they had gained many years of experience as architects in major design practices. In setting up their own practice they have created a small highly focused architectural and interior design practice that provides a warm enthusiastic and effective hands on service to clients. Our aim is always to seek an understanding of the aspirations and requirements of our clients and to respond with designs that are tailored suit these needs.

The practice provides a complete design and technical service that embraces all aspects of architectural and interior design from earliest inception to the final completion of a project. Imaginative solutions, design flair and great attention to detail combined with a thorough understanding of building construction is the hallmark of our service. The highest standards are applied to every aspect of our work, in this way we ensure that our aim to achieve design excellence combined with technical expertise is always realised. The practice has a thorough understanding of the relationship between design, cost and construction. We consider that the optimisation of value for money is a natural element of the design process and must underpin every decision from beginning to end of every project.

The practice has completed a substantial portfolio of domestic projects that range from the complete transformation of important Listed houses for clients seeking to create lifestyle statements to smaller scale practical improvements for clients seeking to maximise space and value. We enjoy working with our clients to achieve their ambitions and are delighted that so many of them have come back to us with further commissions.

The work of the practice has been featured in a number of magazines and was selected by the RIBA for exhibition at Portland Place in 2001.
